1. Who We Are

Zenjihub (also known as Soko la Zanzibar) is a free online marketplace where people in Zanzibar can buy, sell and find skilled professionals. We are based in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

2. Information We Collect

When you use Zenjihub, we may collect the following:

• Listing information — title, description, price, photos, and phone number you provide when posting an item.
• Account information — your name and phone number if you register an account.
• Worker profile information — trade, bio, skills, area, and portfolio photos if you register as a professional on the Fundi page.
• Job requests — your name, phone number, location and job description when you request a professional via the platform.

We do not collect payment information, location data, or track your browsing behaviour.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To display your listing or worker profile to other users.
• To connect buyers with sellers, and customers with skilled professionals.
• To respond to your enquiries sent via email or WhatsApp.
• To forward job requests to the relevant professional on your behalf.

We do not sell your information to third parties, use it for advertising, or share it beyond what is necessary to run the platform.

4. Data Storage

Zenjihub currently stores listing and account data in your browser's local storage. This means your data is saved on your own device. We are working to introduce a shared database so listings are visible to all users across devices.

Phone numbers entered in worker profiles are stored privately and are never displayed to customers. All customer contact goes through Zenjihub first.

5. Third-Party Services

Zenjihub uses the following third-party services:

• WhatsApp — used for customer-to-platform and platform-to-seller communication. Subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — used to load website fonts. Google may log font requests.
• Netlify — used to host the website. Subject to Netlify's privacy policy.

6. Your Rights

• You can request deletion of your listing or profile at any time by contacting us.
• You can ask us what information we hold about you.
• You can ask us to correct any inaccurate information.

7. Terms of Use

By using Zenjihub you agree to the following rules:

• You must be at least 18 years old to post listings or register as a professional.
• All listings must be for real, legal items or services. Fraudulent, illegal or misleading listings are strictly prohibited.
• Do not post contact details, prices or descriptions that are intentionally misleading.
• Do not post offensive, abusive or inappropriate content, including photos.
• Do not use Zenjihub to scam, defraud or harm other users.
• Zenjihub reserves the right to remove any listing or profile that violates these terms without notice.
• Zenjihub acts as a connection platform only. We are not responsible for the quality of goods, services or transactions between users.

8. Prohibited Items

The following are not allowed on Zenjihub:

• Weapons, ammunition or explosives
• Illegal drugs or controlled substances
• Counterfeit or stolen goods
• Adult or explicit content
• Live endangered animals
• Any item or service that is illegal under Tanzanian law

9. Limitation of Liability

Zenjihub is a free platform provided as-is. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the quality of goods or services, or the conduct of any user. All transactions are between buyers and sellers directly. Use your own judgement and meet in safe, public places when exchanging goods.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Zenjihub after changes means you accept the updated policy.
